Event: Oscar Birmingham charity event

This past Sunday saw the historic Soho House open its doors to host an event for Oscar Birmingham (Organisation for Sickle Cell Anaemia Relief & Thalassaemia Support) which is a voluntary organisation and registered charity.

Oscar Birmingham helps promote greater awareness of Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Disorders (SCD’s) and also aims to support individuals affected by these disorders who may be socially disadvantaged due to social exclusion or lack of support. Despite the rain there was a great turn out, with an array of activities for families such as dietary advice and demonstrations, face painting, outdoor activities and poetry. Our very own Dee.M ran a small art activity for children who attended, helping them create their own little master pieces. Please visit the Oscar website, to find out more about this great organisation.
