Exhibition : JQ Open Studios

29/7/17

The JQ Festival was back for a third year, for us it was our second time as part of the JQ Open Studios, again being a great opportunity to bring more people into our studio and see our work.

Once again we sold art which will be hanging in homes as far a field as Australia.

For 2017 we had already set our sites outside of the Jewellery Quarter, with us already being established having a following, we were confident of our next exhibition being a sucess and we were not dissapointed. We had the opportunity to turn a fantastic venue JYG Hair & Beauty into an art gallery for the evening. The collection featured Dee Manning's entire catalogue of art The Bob Marley Fire piece took centre stage with it being a favourite with buyers.

So after a whirlwind of a year we held our final exhibiton of 2016. Despite the cold weather we had a good turn out with the 'Miniature' paintings being a hot pick. For us it really was a great end to the year with our eyes set on our next exhibition in a larger space in a different part of the city.

Exhibition : Autumn opening

2/10/17

After establishing ourselves within the city after the JQ Open Studio's we saw a huge deemand for selected pieces from 'Reflections On The Pebbles' and also seeing Dee Mannings first commision, a classic Morris Traveller.

Exhibition : JQ Open Studio

23/7/17

As part of the JQ Festival it enabled us to be part of the Open Studios. Here we gave members of the public an opportunity to see behind the scenes of what we do and meet Dee Manning.

From here we began to get a name for ourselves with people realising we were actually here to stay and not be here and gone within a year.

Exhibition : Summer Open Gallery

April - May 2016

We had a two weekend exhibition in both April and May showcasing new pieces by Birmingham artist Dee Manning. This was good preparation for larger crowds, as we were planning to be part of the JQ Festival later in the summer. We saw a great turn out from local personalities such as world champion kickboxer Kash Gill, Amreen Akhtar from Britains Next Top Model contestant and Ranking Roger of The Beat.

We had not long moved into our studio when we invited people to give their opinion on Dee Manning's first pieces of artwork. A mixture was on display such as the first five pieces from the 'Reflections On The Pebbles' collection and portaits of iconic musicians such as Bob Marley and Tupac Shakur.
