Article: A year in the studio
It has been a year since we moved into our studio in the Jewellery Quarter, after returning from holiday I made an impulse decision to take on the space. Reality did not sink in for me until I had to meticulously budget to make sure it was workable for both myself and the artists I work with. From late night cleaning to putting up flatpack furniture it has been an enjoyable journey. A year later we are going stronger than ever having utilised the studio as a gallery, enabling us to sell artwork to people from around the country, giving artist's a platform to showcase and sell their work, which is what I had set out to do with Visualé. We have began to cement ourselves in the artistic community within Birmingham having a small feature on Big Centre TV and taking party in the JQ Festival , now as 2016 comes to an end we look forward into the new year, where we will see more inspiration and creativity flowing, with new projects including literature.
I would like to thank everyone who has ever took time to read the blog, look at the site, share and liked our posts via social media and a huge warm thank you to everyone who attended our open studios and purchased artwork.
