Event: City Of Colours
This past weekend saw Digbeth and The Custard Factory was used as a canvas by some amazing artists. The dark archways and old bricked side streets were bought to life by the energy of the crowd and the vibrant creations. From murals of Icons such as Muhammed Ali to interpretations of current affairs the variety of work on display allowed everyone to marvel at the artistic skills and techniques. Personally I don't think this years event topped the one of two years ago. There were times the vibe felt somewhat disconnected as if there was too many things going on to cater for too many people, in turn taking the attention away from what the purpose of the event in the first place, viewing artists create unique pieces. Despite this it was good to see the return of artist such as Phil Blake who's work is a personal favourite and also Jimmy C. Take a look at the gallery below.
