A tribute to the majestic Jessye Norman soprano and recitalist singer, I loved her grace, voice, and I admired her career. I wanted to express with the colours and techniques used in the painting her grace and grandeur. The head dress looks wet from the mix of medium and improver to achieve the fluidity of the design in the fabric and used the method from Reflections on The Pebbles collections something I want to incorporate more into future portraits. Again I have used very warm and rich skin tones for the legendary singer and dark background to draw your attention to her magnificent face.
